Irina Pegova, born on June 18, 1978, in Vyksa, Nizhny Novgorod Region, is a Russian theater and film actress whose charisma and talent have won over millions. As a child, she was interested in sports and music, dreaming of ballet, but chose theater instead. She graduated from the Nizhny Novgorod Theater School and the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts, beginning her career at the Petr Fomenko Workshop, and then at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater, where her roles received awards. Her film debut was in The Walk (2003), followed by Cosmos as a Premonition, Admiral, and Varenka. She was married to actor Dmitry Orlov (2005–2011) and has a daughter, Tatiana.
