Biography of Mariya Shumakova
Maria Shumakova was born on April 19, 1989, in Moscow. She is a Russian theater and film actress.
She graduated from the Shchepkin Higher Theatre School (2010, Vladimir Petrov's course). She made her film debut early on, but gained widespread fame for her role as Natasha in the series Sweet Life (2014–2016), for which she gained 15 kg. Other notable works: Second Sight (2016, leading role), Pregnancy Test 2 (2019), Grozny (2020), episodes in Interns, Kitchen, and Trace.
She performs in productions at the Sovremennik and Lenkom theaters. In 2025, she received an award for best female role and the title of Honored Artist of St. Petersburg. She is 170 cm tall, Russian, and lives in St. Petersburg. She is married to Slava Gusev (since 2022, PR manager at Comedy Club Production). She has no children.
