Biography of Mellstroy
Andrey Burim, also known as Mellstroy (born December 15, 1998, in Gomel), is one of the most controversial and highly paid trash streamers in the post-Soviet segment of the internet.
He grew up in a modest family: his father was a mechanic, his mother was a saleswoman, and he has an older brother, Sergey. After ninth grade, he enrolled in college to study electrical engineering, but dropped out. He started with Minecraft streams, then moved on to “live streaming”: parties, alcohol, girls, huge bets at casinos, and giving money away to viewers.
It was this format that brought him millions of views and hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations for his streams. At the peak of his popularity (2020–2021), he was among the top three Russian-speaking streamers in terms of online presence and income.
The main scandal occurred in October 2020: during a live stream, Mellstroy, in a fit of aggression, repeatedly slammed model Alina's face against a table. The video went viral, and criminal proceedings were initiated against Andrey under the article on assault. He publicly apologized and paid compensation, but his reputation as a “toxic millionaire” was cemented forever.
After that, he was repeatedly banned from Twitch and YouTube, so he moved to his own platforms and Kick. Now he streams less frequently, but still attracts tens of thousands of viewers and remains one of the most talked-about and controversial figures on the Russian internet. His personal life is private: he is not married and has no children.
