Biography of Anna Tsukanov
Anna Tsukanova-Kott was born in Tver to a family of theatre teachers and was immersed in the world of the arts from childhood. At the age of just seven, she began appearing in the film magazine *Yeralash*, featuring in 17 episodes. After moving to Moscow, Anna studied at a theatre school and then enrolled at the Shchukin Theatre Institute, from which she graduated in 2009. In her youth, she also took part in the musical *Nord-Ost*, which proved to be a significant milestone in her artistic development.
The actress gained widespread fame through her roles in the popular TV series *The Eighties*, *Major* and *Cadets*, as well as in the films *The Brest Fortress* and *House of the Sun*. As well as acting, Anna has tried her hand at directing and screenwriting, which adds to the versatility of her work. In her personal life, she was married for many years to the director Alexander Kott, with whom she raised two children — her son Mikhail and her daughter Leya. Following their divorce in 2025, Anna married producer Mikhail Vrubel. She continues to act actively in films and work in television, remaining a prominent figure in Russian cinema.
