Irina Shayk (real name Irina Valeryevna Shaykhislama, born January 6, 1986, Yemanhelinsk, Chelyabinsk Oblast) is a Russian supermodel, the first Russian woman to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue (2011), and an icon of the fashion industry.
Born into a family with Tatar roots (her father is Valery Shaykhislamaov and her mother is Olga, a music teacher), Irina played the piano from childhood, but at the age of 18 she won a beauty contest in Chelyabinsk and moved to Paris. She quickly became the face of Intimissimi (2007–2010) and modeled for Guess, Victoria's Secret, Givenchy, Versace, and Burberry. Her film debut was in Hercules (2014) with Dwayne Johnson.
In 2025, approaching her 40th birthday, Irina starred in the Tory Burch Spring 2025, Etam Fall 2025, and Pirelli Calendar 2026 campaigns, confirming her status as one of the most sought-after models.
