Biography of Karina Andolenko
Karina Andolenko (born 20 September 1987, Kharkiv) is a prominent Russian theatre and film actress, a graduate of the Moscow Art Theatre School (Konstantin Raikin's course).
Immediately after graduation, she joined the Satirikon troupe, then moved to Sergei Bezrukov's Moscow Provincial Theatre. She played dozens of notable roles on stage: Sonya (Uncle Vanya), Roxane (Cyrano de Bergerac), Anya (The Cherry Orchard), and others.
She made her film debut in 2008 with the lead role in the melodrama Roses for Elsa. Among her most famous works are the series Spasskaya (as investigator Anna Spasskaya), Krepostnaya, Thin Ice, Method 2, Doctor Tyrsa, and the films Lights of the Big City, Circe's Diamonds, and Provocateur.
Karina openly states that she only agrees to nude scenes when there is a clear artistic necessity and almost always uses a body double. Her stance—clear control over her own image and boundaries of privacy—earns her the respect of her colleagues and viewers.
The actress keeps her personal life under wraps: she is rumoured to have had several romances, but she neither confirms nor denies them. In interviews, she emphasises that at home, "the bedroom is a cell," a place of strength and complete solitude.
