Biography of Karolina Sevastyanova
Karolina Sevastyanova (born April 25, 1995, in Kiev, but raised in Moscow) is a Russian Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics in the group all-around (London 2012), European champion, and Youth Olympic Games champion.
Her parents, who were from Moscow, were on a business trip to Kiev when Karolina was born, but the family soon returned to the Russian capital. From the age of five, the girl took up gymnastics: her flexibility was noticed in kindergarten, and her perseverance and talent under the guidance of Irina Viner led her to the top. At the age of 17, at the height of her fame (she was recognized as the most beautiful athlete of the CIS at the Olympics), she ended her career.
