Meghan Markle (Rachel Meghan Markle), born on August 4, 1981, in Los Angeles, is an American actress, activist, and Duchess of Sussex. The daughter of a cinematographer and social worker, she attended Catholic school and Northwestern University (theater and international relations). She rose to fame for her role as Rachel Zane in Suits (2011–2017). After meeting Prince Harry in 2016, she got engaged in 2017 and married him in 2018, becoming a duchess. The couple has two children: Archie (2019) and Lilibet (2021). In 2020, they stepped down from their royal duties and moved to California. They founded the Archewell Foundation, produce podcasts, and work with Netflix. Meghan is a feminist, women's rights activist, and mental health advocate.
