Ornella Muti, born Francesca Romana Rivelli, is an Italian actress born on 9 March 1955 in Rome. She made her debut at the age of 14 in the film La moglie più bella (The Most Beautiful Wife) and became a European sex symbol in the 1970s and 1980s thanks to her roles in Passione, L'ultima donna (The Last Woman), Flash Gordon and Il conte di Montecristo (The Count of Monte Cristo). Her expressive appearance and talent combined femininity, drama and sensuality.
