Sydney Sweeney is an American actress born on 12 September 1997 in Spokane, Washington. She grew up in an ordinary family: her mother is a lawyer and her father is a clinic administrator. From childhood, she played sports (baseball, volleyball) and dreamed of becoming an actress.
At the age of 12, she auditioned for the low-budget horror film Zombie Apocalypse and got the part. This inspired her to move to Los Angeles. Her parents agreed on the condition that she would return in three months if nothing worked out. Sidney drew up a detailed business plan for her career — and stayed.
Her first notable works were the series The Pursuit, The Ward, and Spiders 3D. Her breakthrough came in 2018 with the role of Cassidy in Everything About Us and especially in 2019 with Cassandra in the HBO series Euphoria, where she played Cassie Howard.
