Biography of Yuliya Snigir
Yulia Snigir, née Siriskina, was born on June 2, 1983, in Donskoy, Tula Oblast. A Russian actress and model, she grew up in a family of a chess coach and a telephone operator, becoming a candidate for master of sports in chess. She graduated from the Faculty of English Philology at Moscow Pedagogical State University and the Shchukin Theater School. She made her film debut in The Last Mine (2006) and became famous for her role as Rada Gaal in The Inhabited Island (2008–2009). She starred in the Hollywood film “Tough Nut” (2013, Irina), the series “The Great” (2015, Catherine II), “The New Pope” (2020, Eva Novak), and “The Master and Margarita” (2024, Margarita). She received the Russian Federation Government Award (2018). She is in a relationship with Evgeny Tsyganov, and they have a son, Fyodor (2016).
