Jennifer Shrader Lawrence, born on August 15, 1990, in Louisville, Kentucky, is an American actress whose charisma and talent have made her a Hollywood star. She grew up in a conservative family (her father was a builder and her mother ran a farm) with two brothers. From childhood, she was fond of hockey and reading, but at the age of 14, she dropped out of school to pursue acting and moved to New York. She made her debut in 2006 in an episode of Monk, but her breakthrough came with her role in Side Effects (2010).
