Biography of Yuliya Galkina
Yulia Galkina is a Russian theatre and film actress, born on 24 December 1984 in Kursk. She grew up in an intellectual family of historians and had dreamt of becoming an actress since childhood. In 2006, Yulia graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School (in the class taught by Igor Zolotovitsky and Sergei Zemtsov) and was immediately accepted into the company of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre, where she continues to work to this day. At the same time, she obtained a second degree in the psychology of creativity and defended her PhD thesis in 2011. Yulia made her film debut in 2008 and quickly gained popularity thanks to her roles in the films *Kisses of Fallen Angels*, *Alexander. The Battle of the Neva’, *The Taming of the Shrew*, *The Actress*, *Father Christmas for Mum* and numerous TV series. She is equally convincing in dramatic, comedic and action-packed roles. Today, Yulia Galkina continues to act actively in films and on stage at the Moscow Art Theatre, combining her creative work with academic pursuits. She is distinguished by her professionalism, natural charisma and ability to create vivid, memorable characters.
