Biography of Svetlana Khodchenkova
Svetlana Khodchenkova (born 21 January 1983, Moscow) is one of the leading stars of Russian cinema and one of the few Russian actresses who has successfully established herself in Hollywood.
She graduated from VGIK (Mikhail Borisov's workshop) and, at the age of 20, landed the lead role in Stanislav Govorukhin's drama Bless the Woman (2003), for which she was awarded the prize for best debut. This was followed by dozens of memorable roles: Viking, Ice, Dovlatov, Godunov, Love in the Big City, About Loveff, Metro, the series Anna German, and, of course, the role of Viper in the blockbuster The Wolverine (2013) alongside Hugh Jackman.
Svetlana has never been afraid of explicit scenes: her nude scenes in Bless the Woman, About Love, and Love in the Big City became some of the most memorable in Russian cinema of the 2000s and are still actively discussed today.
