She initially worked as a model and television presenter in Latin America, before moving to the US, where she began her acting career.She gained international fame for her role as Gloria in the popular sitcom *Modern Family*, which became one of the most successful comedy series of its time. For this role, she received numerous award nominations, including Emmys and Golden Globes.As well as television, Sofia Vergara has appeared in films and worked as a producer.
