Biography of Tatyana Mingalimova
Tatyana Mingalimova (born April 1, 1995, Nyagan, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug) is a journalist, presenter, and one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Russian YouTube journalism, as well as the creator of the channel “Nezhnaya Redaktor” (The Gentle Editor).
She spent her childhood between Nyagan and Moscow, where her family moved in the early 2000s. During her school years, she dreamed of a career in modeling, but ultimately chose journalism: she graduated from the Faculty of Communications, Media, and Design at the National Research University Higher School of Economics. While still a student, she began filming reports, and in her fourth year she joined Yuri Dud's team, first as an editor, then as a co-author and protagonist of several episodes of “vDud.”
In 2020, she launched her own channel, Nezhnaya Redaktor (Gentle Editor), featuring in-depth, incisive, and almost uncensored interviews with artists, politicians, bloggers, and ordinary people. The project instantly became one of the most popular Russian-language YouTube channels (with over 3.5 million subscribers and tens of millions of views). In 2023–2025, she released several seasons, a documentary film, and a podcast.
