Carmen Electra is an American actress, model and singer, born on 20 April 1972 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her real name is Tara Lee Patrick. Thanks to her striking looks and sexy image, she quickly became one of the most recognisable glamour models of the 1990s and 2000s. Carmen’s career began with work for *Playboy*: in 1996, she appeared on the magazine’s cover. She gained real popularity through her role in the cult TV series *Baywatch* (1997–1998), where she replaced Pamela Anderson. This was followed by roles in the films *Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me*, *My Wife and Kids*, *The Perils of Johnny Gatto* and the *Scary Movie* parodies. Carmen Electra has also released several fitness videos, modelled for numerous men’s magazines and launched her own lingerie range. She was married to bass guitarist David Navarro (1998–2007) and basketball player Dennis Rodman (a brief marriage in 1998). Today, despite her age, Carmen continues to appear in films from time to time, maintain her social media presence and remain one of the most iconic sex symbols of the noughties.
