Biography of Olga Smirnova
Olga Smirnova (also known as Olga Filimonova) is a Russian theatre and film actress, born on 4 October 1983 in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg). From an early age, she was passionate about dance and graduated from the contemporary dance school at the Yekaterinburg Centre for Contemporary Art. In 2006, Olga graduated from the Yekaterinburg State Theatre Institute and began her professional career. She is best known to audiences for her roles in popular TV series and films, including *Grand*, *The Trail of Chikatilo*, ‘My Wild Friend’, ‘Legends of the Circle’, ‘New Year’s Letter’ and many other projects. The actress performs successfully in both comedy and drama, demonstrating natural charisma and emotional depth. Olga is also involved in teaching: she runs workshops on acting, dance and movement therapy, and physical practices. She was married to the actor Alexei Filimonov, and they had children together. Today, Olga Smirnova continues to appear regularly in films and TV series, performs on the theatre stage and develops her own creative projects, whilst remaining a much sought-after actress on Russian television.
