Chantelle Van Santen is an American actress and model of Dutch descent, born on 21 July 1985 in Luton, Florida. Her parents are Dutch, so she speaks Dutch fluently. Chantelle began her career as a model in her teens and made her film debut in 2004. She rose to fame for her role as Karina in the TV series *The O.C.* (2005). She later played memorable roles in *Heroes*, *Breaking Bad* (season 2), *Pretty Little Liars* and *Arrow*. The most significant role of her career was that of Julie in the science fiction series *Dark Matter* (2015–2017), in which she played the lead role. Chantelle VanSant has classic Hollywood beauty, high cheekbones, expressive eyes and natural charisma.
