Biography of Nikol Kidman
Nicole Kidman is an outstanding Australian and American actress, producer and one of Hollywood’s highest-paid stars. She was born on 20 June 1967 in Honolulu, Hawaii, to a family of Australian scientists. The family soon returned to Sydney, where Nicole began studying ballet and acting. Kidman’s career began in Australian cinema, and her first international success came after her role in the thriller *Dead Calm* (1989). She rose to international fame in the 1990s thanks to her marriage to Tom Cruise and their films together, particularly *Days of Thunder* and Stanley Kubrick’s *Eyes Wide Shut*. Nicole Kidman won an Oscar for Best Actress for her role in *The Hours* (2002), and has also been awarded a Golden Globe, a BAFTA and numerous other accolades. Her standout roles include *Moulin Rouge!*, *The Others*, *Lion*, *Killing Them Softly*, *Being the Ricardos* and the mini-series *Big Little Lies* and *Nine Perfect Strangers*. Today, Nicole Kidman remains one of the world’s most respected and sought-after actresses. She has been married to singer Keith Urban since 2006, and the couple have two daughters.
